A Few Walls

As a change from the messmate timber, which we have used extensively for the stair treads
newel posts, and some wall linings, we purchased some very beautiful spotted gum
from Australian Choice Timber Supplies, in Kilsyth. This wall will not be completed until we
get in the scaffolding tower again when I start rendering the mudbrick walls

It looks wonderful on the wall of the stair well.....................

...............and on the outside wall of my studio.

The variation in the grain of this timber is truly stunning - even before
I get to it with the tung oil
