March 2006 - Two

These everlasting daisies seem to love this spot, and are constantly in flower.

The banksia blechnifolia is creeping over the ground just outside the living room window.
I have to keep plaiting the grasses next to it to give it a clear run - I don't want
to impede its progress. I could pull out the grass altogether, but the bank
is quite steep and the grasses seem to be preventing any erosion.

This dwarf banksia is absolutely covered with flowers and buds.
The birds are already squabbling over it.

The first flowers of the little double form wahlenbergia (I hope I've spelled this correctly).
I bought it at a meeting of the Maroondah Group of the Australian Plant Society.
This is where I buy many of the plants - mostly tubestock (little holes to dig!)
